Dr. Shafi is a surgeon, a health services researcher with several scientific publications, a national speaker on health care issues, and a local community volunteer. The family has lived in Southlake since 2004. They have three kids, all Carroll Dragons, currently in second, sixth, and tenth grade. He has served in multiple leadership roles at the local, state, and national level.
